IT Asset Disposal in Pune: Clearing an Office Without Losing the Asset Register

ITAD is not a pickup — it is a reconciliation exercise. What to prepare, what the visit covers, and where the value sits.

Office IT equipment staged for asset disposal and recycling in Pune

Why ITAD is a different job

When a company clears an office, three things have to line up: the asset register has to reconcile, the data on those machines has to be provably gone, and the equipment has to leave a verifiable trail. A buyer who takes the lot by weight cannot do any of that. ITAD is the process that can.

What a disposal engagement covers

Asset identification

Machines are checked against your list — tag, serial, model. Anything that does not match is flagged before it leaves the building rather than discovered later.

Data handling

Storage media are destroyed or wiped to the standard agreed for that collection. See data destruction in Pune.

Value recovery

Working equipment has resale value that far exceeds its scrap weight. Servers, switches and recent laptops are assessed and worth more intact than dismantled — which is one reason a per-kilo quote on an office clearance is usually a poor deal for the seller.

Recycling and certificates

Everything that cannot be reused is dismantled and separated for material recovery at the Hadapsar facility. Disposal documentation is issued against the collection.

Before the visit

Typical Pune engagements

Most of this work comes from offices in the Hinjewadi, Kharadi, Magarpatta and Baner belts during an office move, a refresh cycle or a closure, and from smaller firms in PCMC. The pattern is the same: equipment accumulates, the register stops matching reality, and a scheduled disposal visit resets it.

Related services

Larger programmes with EPR obligations and multi-site scheduling sit under corporate e-waste management. The corporate services page covers the commercial side of both.

Enquiring

Call or WhatsApp 93590 29457 with the scale of the clearance, the site location and your timeline. We will tell you what is feasible rather than overpromise a next-day visit for a decommission that needs planning.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between ITAD and a scrap pickup?

A scrap pickup takes equipment by weight. ITAD reconciles every asset against a register, destroys or wipes data to an agreed standard, records serials and returns disposal certificates. The value and the risk profile are different.

Do you buy working servers and networking gear?

Working enterprise equipment is assessed for resale value, which usually exceeds its scrap value substantially. Non-working units are dismantled and recycled.

Can you handle a datacentre decommission?

Rack and server decommissions are scheduled work rather than an immediate pickup. Give us the scale and site access arrangements when you enquire and we will confirm feasibility.

Do you work outside Pune city?

Our facility is in Pune and we operate across the city and PCMC. For sites further afield, ask and we will tell you honestly whether we can cover it.
