Doorstep E-Waste Collection in Pune: What to Expect on Pickup Day
How the pickup visit runs, what to have ready, and what we can and cannot take in a single trip.
What the visit actually involves
Collection is the physical half of the service. A team arrives in a scheduled window, checks what you have against what you described, weighs it on digital scales in front of you, records the count, and pays on the spot by cash or UPI where the items carry recoverable value.
The whole visit for a household is usually short. For an office with a few dozen machines it takes longer because every asset is counted and, where requested, reconciled against an asset list.
Preparing for the pickup
- Group everything in one place — a single stack or corner saves time on the day.
- Keep chargers with their devices where you still have them; mixed accessories are easier to value as a set.
- Empty printer paper trays and remove any paperwork you want to keep.
- Do not try to wipe drives yourself unless you know how — a half-wiped drive is still a data risk. We handle it; see data destruction.
- Note anything you are unsure about — batteries that look swollen, for example. Mention it when booking so the team brings the right container.
Areas covered
Pickups run across the main residential and commercial belts of the city. The areas we collect from most often are Hadapsar, Hinjewadi, Kharadi, Kothrud, Baner, Wakad, Viman Nagar, Magarpatta, Aundh and Pimpri-Chinchwad. If your address is further out — Wagholi, Undri, NIBM Road, Lohegaon, Dhanori or the outer PCMC belt — ask before you book so we can confirm rather than cancel on the day.
What a single collection can take
Mixed loads are normal. A household pickup might be two laptops, an old printer, a bag of cables and a dead UPS. An office pickup is more likely to be monitors, towers, a server cabinet and a box of handsets. Both are handled the same way; the difference is the paperwork and the time on site.
For very large clear-outs — a floor of an office, a datacentre decommission, a school lab refresh — the visit is scheduled rather than same-day. That work is described under IT asset disposal and corporate e-waste services.
Booking
Call or WhatsApp 93590 29457 with the items, the approximate quantity and your address. Photos help us size the visit. Collection is free; what you are paid for the items is confirmed after inspection, because the rate depends on the actual equipment.
What happens to the material afterwards
Collected equipment goes to the Hadapsar facility. Reusable units are assessed for refurbishment; the remainder is dismantled and separated into recoverable materials and hazardous fractions. Nothing is sent to landfill. See e-waste recycling in Pune for the process in more detail.
Frequently asked questions
Is doorstep collection really free?
Yes. There is no pickup charge. You are paid for the items where they have recoverable value; collection itself costs you nothing.
Which areas of Pune do you collect from?
Hadapsar, Hinjewadi, Kharadi, Kothrud, Baner, Wakad, Viman Nagar, Magarpatta, Aundh and Pimpri-Chinchwad are all covered. For an address outside these, call and ask before booking.
How should I prepare the items?
Group them together, keep chargers and cables with their devices where you can, and remove personal documents from printer trays. You do not need to erase drives — that is handled as part of the process.
Can you collect from a locked office or apartment?
Yes, with the building or office contact present. Someone needs to sign off the asset count and the payment, so a collection is not left unattended.
